Electroless Tin Plating on Aluminum AL10
Electroless Tin Plating on Aluminum AL10
The electroless tinning process AL10 on aluminum is a chemical tinning process on the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloys (e.g. aluminum pistons) by means of the principle of charge exchange. The thickness of the smooth, semi-bright tin layer on the aluminum surface is approximately 1 - 3 μm. The operating temperature range is 25 - 35 °C. The properties of the deposited layer remain unchanged in this temperature range. The data in this table are based on laboratory analyses and practical production experience. The information is only indicative of the operating conditions and reagent supply, which depends on the composition of the plated parts (material, geometry, etc.), the application and the production conditions in the plant.
