SLOTOFIN 70 is used for the post-treatment of passivated surfaces of zinc and zinc alloys.SLOTOFIN 70 can be used on almost any complex workpieces, especially window and door joints. The operation with SLOTOFIN 70 closed concentrate results in a clear, transparent organic protective layer, which dries to an organic protective film with increased corrosion protection, improved resistance to fingerprint contamination and good appearance. For trivalent chromium blue-white passivation the same transparent appearance is obtained as after passivation of zinc-nickel alloys in their native color. The iridescence of the yellow passivated surface disappears and a uniform yellowish color is produced. Black passivates cannot be closed with SLOTOFIN 70. In case of barrel plating, we recommend not to seal directly on the wire. A special centrifuge should be used for the sealing process. SLOTOFIN 70 sealer can be used on wet and pre-dried workpieces. The drying temperature should not exceed 140 °C. Higher temperatures may cause discoloration of the sealing film. The sealer SLOTOFIN 70 needs to be removed using a special degreasing agent.
