Anti-tarnish agent ALS 30 is an acid process (pH approx. 1 - 2) for the post-treatment of tin or tin-lead plating. Concentrates are used for preparation. Anti-tarnish ALS 30 is non-foaming and can be used for rack, barrel and continuous plating production. The treatment of bright tin or tin alloy layers with Anti-tarnish ALS 30 prevents discoloration of the plated layer during heat treatment at > 200 °C and thus improves the solderability of the plated layer. Anti-tarnish ALS 30 does not contain adsorbable organic halides. The information in the data sheet is based on laboratory and practical experience.
